A Temporary Quiet – Photo Fringe 2020

My contribution to Photo Fringe 2020 flowed from my experiences of walking through green spaces in Brighton & Hove—experiences amplified by the events of 2020. I’ve been thinking about inner and outer landscapes, and the sensations of being left to yourself.  The rope swing in the fourth photograph reminds me of a padded coat-hanger.

Portland Road

Portland Road stretches from Sackville Road in Hove to Boundary Road in Portslade. You could pick up most things you need along here. Heading towards Boundary Road, Portland Road becomes more residential until nearer Portslade Railway Station. The traffic can be heavy sometimes. Commercial enclaves like Portland Road keep neighbourhoods alive.
